Marketing Material
Through my experience working with local government and as a freelancer, I’ve created a wide range of marketing materials tailored to the needs of small businesses and organizations—including social media content, newsletters, print campaigns, digital displays, signage, and even park interpretive panels. Whether promoting community programs or helping brands connect with their audience, I focus on clear, effective communication through thoughtful, purposeful design. Every project is built on collaboration and attention to detail, with an emphasis on aligning visuals and messaging to real-world marketing goals. Supporting others in telling their story and reaching their audience continues to be the most rewarding part of my work.
St. Croix County Parks Brochures
I created a cohesive visual style for St. Croix County’s park brochures while ensuring each park remained distinct and easily recognizable. Each tri-fold brochure features park history, photos, fee information, hours, and detailed maps. These brochures serve as a primary resource for visitors, with approximately 25,000 distributed annually.
Newsletters
Your Wasteline is a quarterly recycling newsletter originally produced as a four-page print piece mailed to over 45,000 households in St. Croix County and published online as a PDF. Content is provided by the resource management team, which I design and format using county branding colors, photos, and typeface standards. The newsletter has since transitioned to an online e-newsletter format, which I also design to maintain consistency and visual appeal across platforms.
St. Croix River Crossing Loop Trail Interpretive Panels
I was given the amazing opportunity to design 12 interpretive panels for the St. Croix River Crossing Loop Trail, a scenic route connecting Wisconsin and Minnesota. The panels were created to educate and engage visitors, highlighting the area’s rich natural and cultural history. Topics include local landscapes, indigenous communities, Wisconsin state symbols, agriculture, and significant moments from the region’s past.
Working closely with historians and project stakeholders, I developed layouts that balance engaging visuals with accessible, informative content. Each panel combines photos, illustrations, and thoughtfully designed typography to create a cohesive, informative experience for trail users.
Logos, Branding, & Merchandise
I’ve worked with small businesses and individuals to create logos and branding that capture their identity and vision. Strong relationships and open collaboration have been key to developing designs that not only meet client expectations but also introduce something fresh and unexpected.
From selecting the right colors to refining typography, each project is guided by careful attention to detail and a commitment to thoughtful design. The creative process continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
The Selburg I.T. Solutions logo is a modern, tech-forward design that reflects the company's expertise in the information technology field. Inspired by clean lines and digital structure, the design incorporates bold, contemporary elements that speak to innovation and precision. The result is a visual mark that’s both sleek and grounded, representing a future-facing brand with strong community roots.
The logo for Leeward Timberworks blends strength and craftsmanship, capturing the spirit of this Black Earth, WI-based woodworking shop. Featuring a bold, shield-like design that integrates the letters L and T, the mark symbolizes durability and trust—core values of the brand. The metal-inspired aesthetic speaks to the strength and precision of their work, while the emblem as a whole reflects the lasting quality and integrity that define their work.
The logo for Lighthouse Creative Studio reflects the heart of this North Hudson, WI-based artist collective—a beacon of safety, creativity, and community. The lighthouse stands as a metaphor for a safe harbor in the storm, symbolizing the studio’s role as a welcoming refuge for artists amidst the chaos of life and creation. Surrounding waves represent that very chaos, while the steadfast lighthouse conveys that within this space, creativity is nurtured, protected, and allowed to shine.
This sticker and merch collection celebrates classic Midwest sayings and idioms, but with a bit of a rock 'n' roll twist. It’s a mix of small-town humor and slightly rebellious energy—think “Uffda” with a little edge. These designs are made for folks who grew up on hotdish and hard work but also love a good dive bar. Just for fun, a little weird, and proudly rooted in the Midwest.
